Our History
1998:
October 3-4
International meeting at the "Palazzo dei Congressi" of Pisa, organized
by: Domus Galilaeana, the City of Pisa, the Province of Pisa and the
University of Pisa.
During the meeting it was suggested to promote a permanent
study center dedicated to Silvano Arieti, and signatures were collected
to ask for a street of the city of Pisa to be named after this prominent
citizen.
2001:
Aprile 7 ,
World Mental Health Day:
formal birth of the Silvano Arieti Association Center
for Psychic Study and Research.
October 18 :
Inauguration of Largo Silvano Arieti in Pisa, in the Porta a Lucca section.
A
memorial tablet was placed on the house where Arieti was born, in Pisa,
Via S. Andrea.
A meeting to study and commemorate Arieti, , took place in the Baleari Room of the Pisa Town Hall,
in the presence of scholars and Arieti's two sons
2002:
February 16 to May 25
A cycle of seminars, which took place at the Verdi Theater in Pisa, was
co-organized with the Department of Neuroscience of Pisa University, and was
sponsored by the Italian Psychiatric Association (SIP), the Tuscan Section of
the SIP, and OPIFER.
2003:
February 15 to May 24
A cycle of seminars, which took place in the auditorium of the Polyfunctional
Center of the Province of Pisa, was co-organized with the Department
of Neuroscience of Pisa University, and was sponsored by the Province of Pisa,
the Italian Psychiatric Society (SIP), the Tuscan Section of the SIP, OPIFER,
and the Italian Center of Analytic Psychology.
2004:
January 31 to April 17
A cycle of seminars, will take place in the auditorium of the Polyfunctional
Center of the Province of Pisa,
co-organized with the Department of Neuroscience of Pisa University,
and sponsored by the Province of Pisa, OPIFER, and the Italian Center
of Analytic Psychology.
